Public Exam Information
Summer 2027 – GCSE / A Level / AS written examinations commence on Monday 10th May. Some BTEC subject may have exams before that date. Examinations will finish on Friday 18th June for GCSE and Tuesday 22nd June for A Level.

Exam Contingency Days Summer 2027
The awarding bodies have collectively agreed a contingency day for several years now which is always scheduled at the end of the GCSE, GCE AS and A-level exam timetables.
The contingency day is in the event of national or significant local disruption to exams in the United Kingdom, being part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for exams.
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, further resilience was needed within the exam timetables.
For the June 2027 exams the contingency sessions will be:
Wednesday 23rd June 2027 (all day)
Students should remain available up to and including Wednesday 23rd June 2027 in the event that examinations need to be rescheduled.
Results Days
Summer Exam Results Dates
- A Level , AS Level, BTEC and L3 Qualifications – Thursday 12th August 2027
- GCSE and L1/2 Qualifications – Thursday 19th August 2027
Under no circumstances will results be given out over the telephone or by email.
