At DHFS we operate a minibus service to and from Dronfield, stopping at various areas across North-East Derbyshire. We are aware that for many prospective sixth form students the travel to and from Dronfield can be challenging, expensive and time consuming, so we have sought to support students with regards to this travel.
The service includes the following pick up/drop off points:

There are 14 student seats available on the minibus and priority will be given to Year 13 students in the first instance. The cost of a weekly return trip is £14.50 and this is payable for the whole term in advance via ParentPay.
Adverse Weather
As part of our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, we would like to inform you of our policy regarding the school minibus service during adverse weather conditions.
In the event of school closure due to adverse weather, the school minibus service will be suspended, this includes the afternoon service if the school closes part-way through the school day. Safety is of paramount importance and operating the school minibus in such conditions could pose significant risks to students and staff.
We understand that this may cause inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Parents and Carers are advised to make alternative travel arrangements for their child(ren), a member of staff will remain on-site until the end of the school day with any students still in school. Any cancelled journeys will be refunded either through ParentPay or removed from future invoices.
